About me

I am Mel Rangel, 36 years old, Brazilian living in Germany, i work as art director and photographer. 

Since 2003 I am playing with art and passionate about design. 

There I started my professional life, i had the opportunity to create for the Official Brazilian Carnaval. Was an irreverent and very creative experience. Essencial for build who i am today. 

While i study I also worked as designer at an advertising agency in São Paulo city, Brasil. It was a large experience about fashion, art direction and photography. Then i got my Bachelor of Design and I had my university work exhibited at the Brazilian Bienal of Design as a new promise of brazilian designers. It was great! 

After that went to travel to improve my english. I use to live on Toronto city, Canada. During this time I visited countries on Europe and lived with worked worldwide as a freelancer designer. When back in Brazil, I was focused on creation into a agency with pharmacy’s portfolio, working to big laboratories - as Pfizer, Novartis and Alcon. There i got more knowledge about events and specially advertising. 

Now in Germany, i am ready for new challenges. I had always love to work with people, culture and art. 

Photography was always present in my life and with the pandemic situation i decided to give my camera the chance to make me happy. It worked! Now my interests direction goes on Video and Film making as well. 

In resume, my passion is to create and develop moods and visual concepts around people. Trough art, photography and design, my goal is always to transport emotions and feelings with my work.
